Topic 1:
What Does
Blending Your Voice Mean?
Blending your
voice is a necessity in choral singing.
It can tell how good or bad a chorus is.
Blending your voice means that each part sounds like
one voice. We need to blend our
voices together to have a good sound.
Topic 2:
Why Is It
Important to Blend Your Voice?
It is important
to blend your voice. It is important
because it sounds good when you do it.
If you don’t, the sound will sound bad or be unbalanced. This happens when a member of the chorus is
singing like a soloist. Even if just one
person is not blending, the music could sound bad.
Topic 3:
How Do You Blend
Your Voice?
There are several
ways to blend your voice while singing.
First, you can listen to the others around you. A second way is to make sure the notes you
are sing are on the same pitch as everyone else. Also, you can make sure you are on tempo and
singing the right rhythm. Another thing
you can do is have similar diction to the rest of the chorus. Finally, you can (if you sing louder than the
rest of the group) bring your volume down a little.
Topic 4:
Ways To Practice Blending
Here are a few
ways to practice blending. One way is to
record and listen to yourself. This really helps because if you can hear
yourself singing, whether it is because you are singing to loudly, off pitch,
or off tempo, it can show you what you are doing right or wrong. Also, you can practice how you say your
vowels. You can do this by doing many
exercises such as the ones we do in class.
When everyone does the same vowel sounds it will start to sound more
like one voice.
Topic 5:
What Advantages
Does Blending Your Voice Have?
There are many
advantages to blending your voice while choral singing. Most importantly, it makes your chorus sound
better. Without blending, the sound is
unbalanced and doesn’t sound as good.
Finally, people
will like how it sounds and will want to listen to you sing.
Conclusion:
I have learned a
lot doing this project. I know how to blend my voice. I know that if I work hard and do my best, I
can become very good at blending my voice.
This will help me to sing better.
Without blending our voices, our chorus wouldn’t sound good. It is very important that we blend our voices
while sing.
