Projection

What is projection?
I bet you are
wondering what projection is exactly. Well projection is how loud and how clear
your voice is. You need to have good projection when you sing so people can
hear you. Also if you use too much projection in your words it will sound too
loud.
What are some exercises I can do to improve my projection?
Before you sing
you should always do some vocal exercises to get your voice ready. One thing
you should do is first make sure your standing correctly. Then you can take
some deep breaths. Then you can start to sing softer than get louder to get you
ready to sing loud but make sure you don’t sing too loud. Those are some
exercises you should do before you start to sing.
What if I sing to loud?
That’s sometimes a
problem with people. One thing you should always remember is don’t worry about
it during practice because that is when your supposed
to make mistakes. You can learn from them instead of making a fool out of
yourself during the concert. That is one thing you can do if you are very
nervous about singing too loud.
How can I improve my Projection?
One thing I can do
to improve my projection is to work on my posture. If I have
good posture than I will be able to sing clearer and louder. Also I can
imagine you are singing to someone across the room and that person has to hear
everything you sing. Another thing you can work on is your breathing.
Projection is mostly a lot of air support so you have to breath
properly. Those are some ways to improve my projection.
